That’s what people are using this healthcare debate as. When you see old white guys holding up signs that say ‘i want my america back.’ We all know what the fuck they’re talking about. It’s similar to other bouts of accepted racism we’ve had recently. You know. Illegal immigration. Terrorism. Let me lay it out for you. Your America is fucking gone. The 50s era of white washing everything is over. All the rest of us can vote now, most of the nation has come to understand that we’re all equals, so wtf is YOUR problem?

Oh and comparing Obama to Hitler? Since when did raising the marginal tax rate 3% make you equivalent to a dictator that tried to ethnically cleanse the jews? Stomping on the constitution? You know who did that? BUSH! You know, the patriot act? I weep for this country, because you don’t even realize that YOU are the problem.

To those that complained about the recent Gmail downtime. Don’t be a fucking dick. You’re complaining about a service which is FREE. It’s also worked pretty flawlessly up until now. I suppose it’s somewhat indicative of our society though. We feel such a sense of entitlement that when the slightest thing goes wrong we complain.

Ever notice that when someone comments online they feel the need to preface their comment. For example they might say…. ‘let me just start by saying…. blah blah blah’. Then they will generally talk about how normal they are, or how attractive the opposite sex finds them. It’s the internet equivalent of the racist person talking about how they’re not racist because they have a black friend.

Gamestop…. it’s possible that i hate every last thing about this company.  First of all the companies business model is built to ensure that they’re giving as little money as possible to the publishers of the game.  Which in turn means as little as possible to the developers.  How do they do this?

First they push pre-orders.  This ensures that they only need to purchase new games from the publishers to fill their pre-orders.  So if they have 10 preorders they might buy 12 copies from the publisher.

You really need to watch this. It is an interview by the incomparable Bill Moyers with the ex PR head of Cigna.  This ex VP (Wendell Potter) lays out some of the tactics used by the healthcare industry to derail healthcare reform.  You see, the healthcare industry does not sell managed care.  They sell consumer products.

This is the first time i’ve ever seen something like this. The winning party has now spent the entire first seven months of their rule pandering to the losing party. Democrats…. you are pathetic. Ahhh Fable.  That overhyped, overpromised Microsoft exclusive RPG.  Fable exists on the premise of the players ability to dynamically affect the world of Albion.  The Fable series has sold over 5 million copies on both the xbox and xbox 360.  I would say that’s pretty successful, so how could i possibly hate it?

Ok, I have no problem with a person choosing to bicycle to work if they live close enough.  Nor do i have a problem with their ridiculous tights, or their holier than thou attitude towards being green.  That’s fantastic for you that you live within 5 miles of your workplace.  Many of us need to drive over 20 miles to get to work.  Bike that you fucker.  No, the thing i have the biggest problem with is when a biker does not follow the accepted rules of traffic.

Have you ever noticed that music sucks nowadays? Same with art. Why is this? I think it’s because every successive generation of music is inspired by the previous one (that goes for art too). However, not everyone takes the time to really learn the basics. For example 70s rock is inspired by the blues and early metal is inspired by a kind of mixture of classical and rock. Then the next generation is inspired by the previous and so on and so on, until you’re left with some bullshit like blink 182, or all american rejects.
