The Problem with America
Obviously something has been going wrong with our nation for quite some time now. We’ve gone from the top position in nearly every category to middle of the pack. Things such as health care and education in the United States have steadily declined. Why? How did we, the lone remaining super power in the world, become such a mediocre nation in so many ways?
I believe it has to do with our obsession with individuality. We firmly believe in the individual ability of a person… their aptitude or talent if you will. This has almost no bearing on the success of a student, person, or nation. What IS important? The work ethic of a person. If you ask in asia ‘what makes you good at math?’ Nobody in their right mind would say ‘they’re born with a natural aptitude for math.’ Every single person will say ‘hard work.’ In America we’ve come to rest on our laurels. We believe the individual is everything, and when you believe that everything is based on the ability you’re born with, then you place very little emphasis on hard work.

A review site with a slightly negative bent. In other words, we love to hate.
Read the Talent Code.
No one is born with talent, they have to work hard for it. I’m with you on that. Sad but true.
