E3 Nintendo
Nintendo has morphed from a game company into some sort of bastardized combination of Apple, a game company, and a fitness company. So how did they fare at E3? Did they return to their gaming roots?
Sort of. Now they did announce a few real games for once. They announced 3 new super Mario games, a new Zelda for the DSi, and (FINALLY) a new Metroid that seems to be built in the spirit of the old 2d side scrollers. The new metroid is made by Team Ninja. Here’s hoping they keep their perverted tendencies away from Metroid. New new Mario’s are a game for the DS and 2 for the Wii. 1 is Super Mario Galaxy 2, the other is a 4 player co-op super mario land.
So what else did Nintendo announce? Wii Vitality. You could almost hear the collective ‘what the fuck???’ emanate from the crowd. Also a whole batch of games for the DS where you create the content yourself. Essentially Nintendo telling their fans, ‘fine, you want to bitch about us not making games? Make them your fucking self.’
Yeah…. that’s about it for Nintendo. I feel they had the worst press conference of the big 3.

A review site with a slightly negative bent. In other words, we love to hate.
